Too busy?

We’ve noticed that our quiet spaces can get busier at certain times, particularly around 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm.

Finding it too busy to reflect in peace? Take a look at our alternative quiet and reflection spaces.

House rules

Our quiet spaces have been carefully designed. They are not linked to any specific religion or belief, but reflect a commitment to pluralism and a low-stimulation environment.

We ask everyone to use the space together, respectfully and in silence.

Everyone is welcome

The quiet space is open to everyone at the same time. Access is on an equal basis, with no priority given based on gender, belief or other personal characteristics.

Pause your voice

  • Relaxing? Always in silence.
  • Praying? Always in silence.
  • Arriving or leaving? Always in silence.

Take care of the space

  • The university only provides furniture.
  • No waste, no food or drinks.
  • Do not put up flyers or other notices.
  • Personal items (clothing, mats, books, shoes, etc.) must be used, cleaned and stored away by yourself.

Use the appropriate space

  • Prayer and reflection may only take place in the designated quiet or reflection spaces. The use of other rooms or spaces for this purpose is not permitted.

These houdse rules remain in force even when the quiet space is busy or temporarily unavailable.
