3.02.2026 – Seminar: Dying with dignity when living with dementia
On 3 February 2026, the Flanders Dementia Centre of Expertise, in collaboration with Palliative Care Flanders, the Flemish Council for the Elderly and Metrodora, the Centre of Expertise for Health Humanities at the University of Antwerp, organised a seminar on dying with dignity in cases of dementia.
This seminar offered a nuanced exploration of end-of-life care and euthanasia in the context of dementia.
Researchers, healthcare professionals and people with lived experience engaged in an open dialogue on the social and ethical challenges surrounding this complex issue.
