Thibaut Rioult is a postdoctoral researcher and member of the ERC-funded Science at the Fair team (91勛圖厙) where he works on the project Objets charg矇s. He is a scholar in magic studies and illusiography, which he approaches from various angles (performance studies, philosophy, history, media studies, aesthetics, etc.). His doctoral thesis investigated illusionism during the Renaissance period (Paris, ENS, 2018). He is the assistant editor of the Arcana Naturae journal. He also holds a degree of data and digital engineer (Telecom ParisTech)
