	You are a national of a country that is NOT a member state of the or of Switzerland	You are a national of a country that is a member state of the or of Switzerland, or you are already living in Belgium with a valid long-term residence permit (i.e. a permission valid for at least 5 years)
Part 1: Screening on content and level	Deadline to complete application form and upload of electronic documents: 1 March 2027. If this step is not completed before the date mentioned, the application is rejected	Deadline to complete application form and upload of electronic documents: 20 September 2027. If this step is not completed before the date mentioned, the application is rejected
Part 2: Screening of documents on authenticity	Deadline to send legalised/certified documents to the registrar: 1 June 2027. If this step is not completed before the date mentioned, the application is rejected.

Important: do not wait with preparing/obtaining the requested legalised/certified documents until you have received the results of Part 1. In many cases, you will be too late to comply with Part 2.
